Skating School of Switzerland — Special Figures SA, Champéry

1. Definitions and Scope

These general terms and conditions govern the use of patch sessions organized by Special Figures SA under the Skating School of Switzerland brand (hereinafter "the School"). Patches are ice training sessions that the School rents from the rink and makes available to skaters.

Members: Skaters enrolled at the Skating School of Switzerland and coached by the School's coaches.

Non-members: Skaters who are not students of the School but wish to use patch sessions, either independently or accompanied by their own coach.

Clubs: Skating clubs that book patch sessions for their groups, under specific conditions defined with the School.

Third-party coaches: Any coach not employed by the School who wishes to accompany their students during patch sessions.

2. Registration and Access

Each patch session has its own characteristics (duration, required level, maximum number of participants, rate). This information is available upon request from the School.

Skaters must meet the level requirements of the chosen session to be authorized. The maximum number of skaters per session is defined according to its characteristics. If capacity is reached, a waiting list may be maintained.

Right of admission: The School reserves the right to refuse any registration or revoke access to patch sessions, without having to justify its decision.

For members: Registration according to the School's training program or upon request for additional sessions.

For non-members: Registration with the School with sufficient notice.

For third-party coaches: Mandatory registration with the School before the first session (see section 5).

Registration for a session implies acceptance of these general terms and conditions and the ice rules.

Palladium regulations: In addition to these terms, all participants must comply with the general regulations of the Palladium de Champéry. In case of conflict between the two sets of rules, the stricter rules apply.

3. Rates and Payment

Rates are available upon request from the School. Payment is made in advance.

Any payment delay results in immediate suspension of privileges until full settlement.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

Members: Free cancellation up to 96 hours before the session. After this deadline, no refund.

Individual non-member skaters: Any booking made is considered final and non-refundable.

Clubs: In case of cancellation by a club, 50% of the total amount of booked sessions remains due.

Non-transferability: Bookings are nominal and non-transferable to another person or another session.

Cancellation by the School: In case of session cancellation by the School (technical problem, force majeure), a credit or full refund is granted.

Session modifications: The School reserves the right to cancel or modify sessions. Whenever possible, advance notice will be given to registered participants.

5. Third-Party Coaches

Any third-party coach wishing to teach during our patch sessions must:

  • Register with the School at least 24 hours in advance

Third-party coaches do not pay to access sessions but must register for each session. Registration implies acceptance of these general terms and conditions and the ice rules.

Number of students: The maximum number of students per third-party coach is defined according to each session's characteristics.

Solicitation prohibition: Third-party coaches may not in any way solicit, recruit, or offer lessons to the School's members or other non-members present on the ice. This rule also applies off the ice, within the rink premises.

Any violation of this policy results in immediate and permanent exclusion of the coach and their students from all sessions organized by the School.

6. Liability and Insurance

Figure skating involves inherent risks. All participants acknowledge and accept these risks.

Participants use the ice at their own risk. Special Figures SA, its employees, and representatives disclaim all liability in case of accident, injury, or property damage occurring during patch sessions.
